How we got where we are today
DEC opened for business as a sole proprietorship on 1/1/1986. The business was adjoining with an architecture firm on South Dixie Drive in Kettering, Ohio.
DEC moved to the city of Moraine in September of 1996. The facility had 5,000 sq. ft. which was parsed out half in office space and half in shop space to allow for constructing large systems.
With an increased focus of engineering and software development, DEC moved to an office condo in a business park located in Washington Township. Zoned for light industrial, we maintain the ability for some light build projects and a 3D printing lab.
In 2001, we purchased an office condo in a business park in Washington Township. Zoned for light industrial, we maintain the ability for some light build projects.
In 2005, we created 3 business units. This included automotive traceability, medical simulation, and cultured marble, which included acquisition of a company out of Texas providing business software systems for the manufacturing of cultured marble.
On 1/1/2009, DEC began business as an LLC. More a distinction for tax purposes, nothing besides the addition of the LLC changed, except continuing to grow.
In 2014 we began offering the service of website design for a variety of business types, including cellular concrete, mobile flooring, immigration, dentistry, ministry, wedding, and of course this website conveying our multitude of services.
Coming out of the pandemic in 2021 our newest division came to light, offering highly specialized 3D printing with stereolithography technology that includes nearly 30 materials ranging from a flexible, low durometer resin to glass reinforced, exceeding the strength of aluminum.
